Gillian and Adrien at the New York Historical Society... Part Two

A few delays and a slightly late start... and then finally, the big moment! Adrien and Gillian got married at The Church Of Heavenly Rest.
The long aisle was perfect for Gillian's dramatic entrance.

I love the look at Adrien's face!

I was perched in a funny little window over the altar for this shot.
This is not an angle we usually get, fun!

Adrien's parents looking on.

From my perch over the altar, I ran the length of the church up in the rafters to get this angle. It was a little dark and creepy up there, but worth it for this wide shot.

... and this one too.

Meanwhile, Trish is on the ground capturing the I do's. Her job was harder, it's tough staying in a crouched position with a big heavy lens.

Married!

Mr and Mrs!

A congratulatory hug from the maid of honor and the best man.

Making it extra official. I love this one- what decade are we in?

A little fun with the bridal party... Trish the expert at organizing large groups wrangled them for this photo. Nice!

These next couple of shots really knock my socks off. Trish found this little side chapel while waiting for the ceremony to start. What luck! What a fabulous space. I was so excited when I saw it, it's so special and unique.

Yes!

LOVE.

Lovely details.

Time to bundle up and go to the reception.

Adrien learns about the bustle... such a gentleman.

Let the fun begin!
Coming up next... the reception at the NY Historical Society.

Gillian and Adrien at the New York Historical Society...Part One

Meet fuzzy and fabulous Mizu and her beautiful mom, Gillian.
We hadn't met Gillian in person prior to the morning of the wedding so imagine our delight when we were greeted by this friendly face.

Gillian and Adrien had identical bracelets made a month after they met... how romantic!
.....and Gillian's retro NY save the date cards- Love!

The detail of Gillian's dress was so delicate and intricate. Her dress and accessories are both from The White Dress by the Shore.

Fantastic birdcage veil and headpiece.

Love this one.

I love it when I am in the right place at the right time. Here is the mischievous Mizu helping herself to a snack of bouquets. Luckily her mom was watching. Bad kitty!

Gillian and Adrien live on the 5th floor of an apartment building that Adrien is renovating. They have this lovely roof deck which made for a great spot for some detail pics. The bouquets were created by Surroundings Florist.

Nice touch from The White Dress by the Shore.

I mentioned that Adrien is renovating... there are tools everywhere! I thought this was a fun juxtaposition. Gillian relaxing her with her friends... who by the way, recommended us to her! Thank you!!!!

Glam.

A little help from mom is always nice.

I absolutely love everything about this photo.

Trish and I hadn't expected to climb 5 flights of stairs with our camera bags, a gentle reminder that we could stand to work out a little more. Gillian handles it with grace though.

Such a pretty street that Adrien and Gillian live on!

Hard to choose which of these I like best, so I choose them all.

This one is so natural. Love it.

The glamour is a little off the hook.

Time for a few portraits before we head to the church... here are our bridesmaids.

Gillian with mom and sis.

Gillian and her sister are so close, I love this one.

Dashing back up 5 flights for a few last minute preparations!

Meanwhile, Trish and I take a cab over to the church. Gillian is Scottish so hence the bagpiper.

Finally! Our handsome groom and his sidekick... the best man.

How cute is Adrien, and such a nice man. Nice choice Gillian!

The rings, love the design of Adrien's ring- so unique.

Does this say vintage winter wedding or what?!

Gillian and her dad are hiding before the start of the ceremony.

Everyone arriving and anticipating Gillian's grand entrance.

Waiting... waiting...waiting...

...and the panic starts to set in!
Stay tuned, coming up next the ceremony and the formal photos!
