Sexy Snaps!

Posted by Trish
Well, if you had told me that I was going to be spending an entire day in a hotel room with brides in lingerie I would have said "highly unlikely". But as it turns out it was very likely! We had so many requests for it that we had to plan a Sexy Snaps! event right away. So last weekend we met up with 7 of our 2009 brides for some beautiful and super sexy photos, to give to their betrothed before the wedding day. It was a smashing success...

It was a bum-tastic day!

We were at the NYLO Hotel in Warwick, what a swanky place! The perfect backdrop for this photo session.

Don't worry, we will be planning another session in the Fall or early winter. So if you want to be part of the next Sexy Snaps! email Mariah and get on the list!

Check out the Buzz!

Want to see a fabulous movie of our shoot with Michelle and John at the beginning of the month?
Mike Cyr of Buzz Media has the movie posted on his blog. Take a look at how great this film is! Michelle and John are very cute - and it's fun to see the snapgirls in action!
(well we think so anyway!)

More presents from Kevin...

Who the heck is Kevin? Our UPS driver of course. We see him almost every day! Here is a gorgeous album that just came in, photos by the lovely and oh so talented Melissa from a wedding last Fall...
Another album, a studio sample of a wedding last summer. This is a really pretty light sage green leather...

Lastly another sample album from our new modern leathers company from our destination wedding. This one is a 14x14" book, it's totally fabulous! We did the yellow leather with a blue leather strip through the middle and three photos...

Who doesn't love getting an album in the mail??? Especially when our crazy friend Kevin is delivering! Shout out to Kevin who is avid Snap! blog reader...

The snap cam Easter Extravaganza in Old Saybrook

Posted by Mariah:
Katie and Steve had the snap cam next... just in time for the arrival of the Easter Bunny/Baby. This is Braydon, Katie's nephew... isn't he the cutest? The Keefe family celebrated Easter at home in Old Saybrook with lots of yummies...

Katie and Steve giving the Easter Baby a little snuggle...

Even the Goose is getting into the Easter spirit. Katie's big sister makes an appearance too! Hi Erin! (Melissa and I photographed Erin and Doug's wedding last October). I love Sally's expression in the background. I hear Sally put on quite a delicious Easter feast for the whole clan...

Here's Steve and Aggie... (Katie's canine niece)
I think maybe Steve is trying to get her to wear the bunny ears too.

Braydon and grandpa having a little quality snuggle time. I think they are telling each other jokes in this photo... did you hear the one about the baby and the dirty diaper?

These are Katie's cousins from Ireland before the big Easter egg hunt...

Lookout! Steve is stealing your eggs! Pretty sneaky using the snap cam as a distraction.

Sure, he looks innocent and sweet washing the dishes but actually he is a candy thief.

Guess Katie saved the biggest chocolate egg for herself!

Thanks for sharing your weekend with us! See you all on the 9th! (mariah & giggles)

Jennifer and Mike "Hop Across the Pond" for a photodate with Mariah

Jen and Mike are living in London and planning their wedding at the Glen Manor on September 19th. I was so excited that they could make a trip back for their photodate with me. Not only did they make the trip, but were really excited about it and had a few fabulous Providence locations in mind. We started at the Brown campus where Jen went to school - smarty.

Someone was nice enough to leave their bike out front of the library, which happened to coordinate perfectly with Jen's dress...

It's finally spring, and although it was slightly chilly... the trees are blooming.

Jen was excited to show me her ring because when we met the first time, she didn't have it yet. Actually, when they booked me they weren't formally engaged! These guys do things their own way! I thought it would be fun to perch Jen's ring on this adornment on the gates at the front of Brown. Jen says you only walk through these gates twice in your time at Brown, once as freshman and then on the day you graduate. Cool.

... a little closer to maximize the sparkle...

... I think this says "long live true love"...

(I made that up).

Mike is the best! He did anything I asked and kept saying... "I am trying!" Trish always says that you get back what you put into the photos. In other words, if you are having a good time and go with our whacky suggestions, you'll end up with some cute shots... case in point. Thanks for "bringing it" Mike.

Our next locale, a glamorous strip mall & bagel shop on Brook Street. This spot was high on the priority list for Jen and Mike because Jen is obsessed with these bagels and dreams of them while she is living far away in England existing on fish and chips and such. How to make the Bagel Gourmet look glamorous?.... hmmm.

Eureka! Bagel genius. I surgically enlarged the bagel hole with a plastic knife for this shot.

Jen's two favorite things... oh, and Mike of course.

Next stop, the river. A special spot for Jen and Mike.

Why is it a special spot? Because Mike told Jen that he was in L**E with her here. What's that? What did he say? L**E! I don't follow you... what?

Apparently Mike said... "I want to tell you how I feel about you. It's a word that starts with L and ends with E, and it's not LIKE."

Well, Jen went to Brown so she had an idea where he might be going with this. She made him say it anyway.

Here's Mike throwing her in the river because he is embarassed that she is telling me this story.

Lot's of sparkle going on today.

So sweet when they aren't tossing each other in.

My favorite photo of the day.

When Jen and Mike and I were getting ready to head out on our photo-safari, I said... "I'll follow you, what are you driving? Mike said, "see that big truck with the roof rack?"

I said, "What are you parked next to it?

He said, "No, that's my car!"

And so of course, we had to do some photos like this!

...and this!...

The descent was a little trickier- but Mike's been working out. I even "bought a ticket to the gun show" (gave his bicep a squeeze- couldn't resist!)

That was a blast! See you guys soon!!!

Katie and Steve's Photodate with Mariah

Katie and Steve are getting married in less than a month! May 9th to be exact... at Belle Mer. I can't wait! I love these guys and their family, I photographed Katie's sister Erin last October when she and Doug got married and I can't wait to see the whole gang again. I drove down to Old Saybrook to Katie's parents home for our photodate. I was excited to see that Steve still has all his teeth (he's been playing professional hockey in Denmark). Nice choppers too- it would be a shame for them to get knocked out. Don't laugh, Trish's dad was a hockey player too and when her parent's got married he was missing a front tooth! Probably not exactly what Katie is picturing for her wedding day...

Katie and Steve had a jam packed Friday full of family and wedding related activities, so we scheduled our shoot at noon- not the best time for pics... but we lucked out and this beautiful foggy haze rolled in. This spot is directly across the street from there house. On a sunny day you can see Long Island- so cool.

I am crazy for the color of the sky and the water here.

So cute.

Steve is a trickster- I don't think he would actually push Katie in though...

I was asking Steve about his proposal... it was apparently an elaborate scheme involving quite a few of Katie's family members and of course he asked Katie's dad for permission. Katie's dad and her brother are shall we say... protective of the baby in the family. I think they have accepted Steve though because they allow him into the man town hangout above the garage- boys only!

Katie is so pretty.

Steve didn't like this pose- to uncomfortable on his butt- he put up with it though.
I love it- and I love the sticks and rocks and beachy stuff.

What is going on here you might wonder... this is Katie and Steve's signature move...Guitar Leg!
You'll probably see this move again on the dance floor at their wedding. I hope so!

You have to drive over this little causeway to get to their house. I wanted to use it the last time I was in Old Saybrook- but there wasn't time. I'm glad I saved it for Katie and Steve. It's a favorite place she walks with her mom.

Glamorous Katie.

Strolling around town.

The restaurant next door was smelling pretty yummy... it was more than these two could take! It's a wrap, lunch time!

See you guys in a few weeks... it's going to be so much fun!
