Lea and Neil Photodate at Castle Hill in Newport...Finally!

Posted by Trish:

I only say finally, and I mean it in a nice way, because I have been waiting to photograph these two...I met them while photographing both of Neil's sisters weddings and always hoped that they would call me when they got married. So imagine my delight when I got the call from Lea a few months back that they wanted to hire me to photograph their wedding next year, count me in!!!

Neil is a football coach, so we thought it would be fun to incorporate that into the photos...

There probably is some kind of seriously wrong passing technique going on here, but it's just this one time, promise!

Neil was told that there would not be any cheesy kissing photos...oh sorry, we lied.

I think that they are planning to use one of these as a 'save the date', so cute!

We couldn't pass up the shot on the lawn at Castle Hill, it was an amazing evening!!!!

Then we were off to the lighthouse at Castle Hill for some more fun...

This would probably be considered a small lighthouse as far as lighthouses go, but it's so perfect for photos, you can get the whole thing in!

Lea's hair was blowing around like crazy, hopefully there will be lots of hairspray the day of the wedding.

Then we ventured down the very steep stairs for this shot, I had to sit down to take this. I was worried I would fall while looking through the lens!

Lea spied this cool doorway, I had not noticed it, probably because I was trying not to fall face first into the ocean!

Then we headed down to the beach there at Castle Hill, so awesome. How awesome is this huge ring on this beautiful driftwood.

What a gorgeous evening to be on the beach! Lucky us. They were so cute.

Good times...

Lea is an avid blog-stalker, so she knows what to do.

I love that summertime light, even with the blowy hair...

By this time Neil is totally into it and feeling relaxed and doing a great job with the posing.

Woo hoo, fun in the surf!

Look how HAPPY they are to be getting married!

This will be fun to look at in the winter when these summer evenings are a distant memory...

Lea had this great idea to put the ring on this funky stick, so cool! You can't have too many photos of the bling!

The Castle Hill Beach never disappoints, and we were the only ones there too...

Thanks for a fun evening guys, looking forward to your wedding day! I can't believe we have to wait all that time, but it will be here before you know it...

Jen and Greg's Photodate in Newport

Posted by Mariah:

You know that Kevin Bacon game where you link other actors to a movie with Kevin Bacon... (6 degrees of separation, I think)... anyway- Isabella is my Kevin Bacon. I photographed Isabella and Dan last year and since then they have sent me I think 7 new clients- thank you Isabella!!!

What does this have to do with the super cute Jen and Greg? Well, they are an Isabella referral too... and I am so glad they found me! They booked sight unseen, so this was really my first meeting with them. What a pleasant surprise they are!

We met at Bretton Point in Newport...

Actually, it a good spot for our shoot because they had their first date here- a romantical picnic.

The light was so cool... it kept changing as the fog started to roll in.

I thought this photo looked a little like southern California, I also think Jen looks a little like southern California.

Snuggling...

Smooching... always a good idea!

These guys were doing a really good with their posing. It was virtually effortless!

What is their secret? #1 They have a nice chemistry- it's a must have! #2 They look at the blog, so they know they are supposed to work it!

So cute.

I love this spot, and I love it when my subjects indulge my some what strange ideas.

This one is my fav from the shoot, so sweet and this little clump of flowers is kind of unexpected at the beach.

Are we in a meadow or are we at the beach? Hmmm...

I can tell these guys make a great team, in fact the next day they set out to hike a portion of the Presidential Trail! Apparently they are in to all sorts of strenuous activities... hiking, rock climbing, skiing- you name it! Good thing they are both physical therapists... when they come back all broken from their extreme adventures they can fix each other up.

Speaking of rocks...

Jen and Greg- it was so much fun to meet you in person. I can't wait for the wedding. Hope you enjoy your turn on the blog. xoxox Mariah

Ani and Steve at the Four Seasons in Boston, Part Two and Photo Lounge Fun!

Posted by Mariah:

Here we are for the last installment of Ani and Steve... I know they are checking the blog from their honeymoon in Hawaii, so enjoy this one too guys!
We stepped across Boylston for a quick photo in the park... Ani really wanted a few photos outside so we snapped a couple quick pix and then headed back inside for some much need air conditioning!

Walking in the city... it's always a good time.

So is smooching on the elevator, Trish caught this cute photo.

The 4 Seasons has this terrific staircase- Love it.

The bridal party workin' it...

Ani carried a bouquet of tulips because they were her mother's favorite flower. So sweet.

This is one of my favorite photos from the day... Steve is whispering something here to make Ani smile...knowing him it might be fresh!

Love this one too, they look so fabulous.

Done with the photos, time to enjoy the cocktail hour!

Ani and Steve had gorgeous food at their reception...

Isn't that beautiful?

Yum!

During the cocktail hour the staff flipped the ceremony site and transformed it into a sea of beachy blue tables.

Absolutely love the linens.

Also love the funky shape of the plates.

Isn't this out of this world? I love the tall slender vases with the single hydrangea blooms.

Driftwood, my fav!

I just want to say that Trish took ALL of these beautiful room shots and had about 3 minutes to do it before the guests filtered in- nice job Trishy!

And here they come!

The lighting they chose made the reception photos so dramatic. Can't say enough about adding lighting... it makes all the difference in the pix.

Ani and Steve having their first dance...they are off to a good start.

So sweet!

Nicely dipped Steve!

The hora... always a good photo op. Ani looked mostly terrified in the photos, and I can't say I blame her. Actually she looked half terrified and half joyous... if that's possible!

Her dad on the other hand just looks joyous!

So fun. It's contagious really!

Laughing at the toasts.

Steve's dad gave a great toast... the point of the speech being that Ani was worth the waiting for Steve to find the right girl, agreed!

Steve and his sis having a nice moment... thanks again Donna for all your efforts!

A big thank you to all their guests for being a part of the fun.

Steve and Ani made sure their guests enjoyed the full snap experience by having the photoloung on hand, as usual it was a big hit...

Here's a small peek at the photolounge merriment.
